Responsible Conduct of Research

Training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) is an ongoing process within the CMP. Trainees receive informal training from faculty and mentors, and formal training through the CMP RCR introductory and advanced courses, workshops and additional UW programs. All courses are designed to meet or exceed all NIH requirements for RCR training. All trainees who are in CMP and covered by this mandate will complete one of the approved courses listed in the table below. Compliance is monitored in the CMP Administration Office and reviewed at trainees’ individual yearly mentoring committee meetings.

Frequency of Instruction

Trainees must participate in the introductory RCR training at the earliest opportunity, at least once in every four years, and at least once during their early career stage.
